Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ’s
1. Is Actors Info Booth an agent?
We are not an agent, we are an acting resource and we also provide training. We fly in working professionals from Los Angeles and New York to teach weekend workshops in Florida.
2. Can I send you my head shots? Can you get me work?
You are welcome to send your headshots to us, but our role is not getting you work, but providing you with audition information so you can get work for yourself. We post auditions on our site that you can submit yourself on and have an opportunity to get work. We post auditions for the community, so you must respond directly to the posting to be considered.
If you want to send us your headshots, please mail them to:
Actors Info Booth Inc.
2114 North Flamingo Road
Suite 1257
Pembroke Pines, Fl 33028
2a. If I come to a workshop with one of the LA trainers, can I get discovered? Can one of your instructors from Los Angeles get me work if I give them my headshot?
All of our classes are for the sole purpose of training. Unless it is specifically listed in the class description as “agent or manager looking to sign talent” you are there to develop your craft. If you want bigger things from your career, my advice is to get really good as an actor then decide what city works best for your lifestyle. Then focus your efforts in the city you live - whether its Miami, New York or Los Angeles.
3. Do you offer on-going classes during the week?
No. We only provide weekend workshops. Because almost all of our instructors fly in from Los Angeles or New York, weekend workshops work best for our instructors.
3a. Where are the workshops located?
All workshops take place in the Broward County area. Details for the current location are always listed in our newsletter and on the web.
For printable directions to the workshops, click here: Directions to Workshops
4. How do I get on your mailing list?
Go to the homepage at our website: www.actorsinfobooth.com. On the lower right-hand side of the page you will find a place to add your name and email address. Once you do that and hit enter, you will receive a request to confirm your sign-up in your inbox. Once you confirm that you want to sign up, you will start getting our weekly email blast newsletter.
You will also need to add our email address to your address book: aib@actorsinfobooth.com. Our email blast goes out to thousands of people, so your email provider may mistake us for spam. Also if you have the capability to “whitelist” our email address (not all email providers have this, so don’t worry about it if you don’t have it), please do this, too.
5. Is there a cost to receive the weekly email from you?
No. Receiving our newsletter is absolutely free.
6. What kind of information do I receive in your newsletter? Can I see a sample before I sign up?
In our weekly blast, you will receive info on:
*current auditions
*industry newtworking news,
*a list of people booking work (anyone can submit a listing of work they have booked - it is free to list your latest booking!)
*the latest workshops coming up at Actors Info Booth
*our workshop cancellation policy
*directions to our workshops
You can see samples of our emails, here Newsletter Archives
7. If I want to post something on your site, how do I do it? Is there a cost?
It is free to post on our site. To post your audition or networking event, go to the homepage of our website: www.actorsinfobooth.com and click on Audition Submission Form
FILL OUT EVERY FIELD or the page will not send. If you have difficulty sending the form, just email us at: aib@actorsinfobooth.com and we will make sure to get your auditions posted.
8. Does my audition post automatically? How does that work?
We receive your audition, approve it and then post it.
8a. I saw my audition posted on the website, but I did not see it in the weekly email blast - why??
We get so many submissions, we could never fit every item in the newsletter. We try to get time-sensitive items in first and definitely any film/commercial work opportunities. We prioritize and try to bring a variety of jobs and news to the acting community.
9. How long does it take for my information to get posted?
We normally post auditions on Monday or Tuesday of every week. If we are not as busy with our other projects, your audition or event may show up sooner.
10. How often are the email blasts sent out?
Once a week, unless we are on vacation or traveling.
11. What if I want to post something other than an audition? I have a workshop I would like for you to promote, will you post it?
Because we run a free website and a free newsletter, we only permit “not for profit” events - other than the workshops we produce. We have had overwhelming requests to post this type of information, so we are working out an advertising rate guide to try to accommodate all of the “for profit” events. If you want to be personally notified once this information is available, please email us at:
actorsinfobooth@yahoo.com
in the subject line write: ADVERTISING
In the body of the email, please give us information on the type of service you want advertised in the newsletter and/or website.
