Synopsis: Amado is a musician, he lives in Cuba with his young brother, his girlfriend and his mother. He’s in love. He has a job: he plays 4 nights a week with his brother in a touristic hotel lounge. But… it’s not enough. And frustration leads him into drastic decisions.
Character Breakdowns:
We need 3 CUBAN ACTORS and one CUBAN ACTRESS for a short movie project in SPANISH. We also need a BABALAO.
-Leading Role: AMADO. We need a CUBAN ACTOR who ideally can play the trumpet. If you’re an actor and a musician, that would be perfect. Great acting range (emotional part). Age range: 22-28
-Supporting/Lead: DANIEL. CUBAN ACTOR who ideally can play drum/conga/bata… (any percussion). Age range: 20-25 (needs to look a little younger than Amado -he’s the younger brother-)
-Supporting: JUANA. Amado and Daniel’s mother. CUBAN ACTRESS. No special skills. Lovely mother, a little shy. Emotional range.
Age range: 45-50
-Principal: FRIEND - CUBAN ACTOR. Age range: 20-30
-Principal: BABALAO - We would prefer a real babalao, with some acting skills. Age range: 40’s and up
Additional Information: Please, only Cuban actors who actually lived in Cuba, who speak a perfect Cuban Spanish (the story is about 2 Cuban brothers, musicians, from Cuba). (The babalao’s scene is in Miami, so it can be a perfectly bilingual Cuban-American too). It is a paid gig. Beanfield Productions in association with Discovery Networks is looking for reenactment actors for a show that will be aired during Shark Week. CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
If you enroll in a class or seminar and need to cancel for any reason prior to 24hrs from the start of the class, you will be given an Actors Info Booth Inc. credit for the full amount which may be used towards any other class in the future (excluding Raymond Forchion workshops and any first-time workshops) . All credits expire 12 months from the original class date.
If you cancel in less than 24hrs from the start of class all credits will be given at the discretion of Actors Info Booth Inc. depending on the reason.
If you do not show up for a class and do not call to cancel, you forfeit your class and credit.
If you have a credit and apply it to a class and do not show up or cancel, you forfeit your credit.
If an instructor has to postpone/change/cancel the workshop date for any reason - there are no refunds, only credits.
Credits are non-transferable.
There will be a $30.00 fee for all returned checks. All future transactions after a returned check must be cash or credit card.
