As well as being a working actor, Patrick has been the director of The Actors Spot Studio in Studio City, California for over 10 years. The intense workouts include an emphasis on scene study, cold reading, the audition process and Improv.
Patrick’s philosophy, “At The Actor’s Spot, our focus is “Moment to Moment” – learning to quit acting and start listening, believing and reacting. Each class is limited to 14 students, allowing our instructors to provide hands-on work with each and every actor. The Actor’s Spot was created to encourage people starting out in the entertainment industry, as well as to provide a forum for seasoned actors to work out and continue growing.”
Over the weekend, you will start by working your improv skills and cold read. You will move into monologues, scene study and character analysis. Patrick helps you to understand how to tap into those skills that create the scene and the moment - getting out of your own way and getting into THE WORK.
