Talley’s Folly
by Lanford Wilson
A riveting drama about two individuals struggling to bridge the chasm that separates them and to find common ground in their interior worlds. Alone in a crumpling Victorian boathouse on the edge of a quiet Midwestern river, Matt, a Jewish accountant haunted by his family’s experiences of anti-Semitism, woos Sally, a spinster trapped in the conventional morality of small-town life. With characteristic humor and compassion, Wilson depicts their slow waltz toward mutual understanding and love.
