Teaching for over thirty-five years at schools both locally and in New York, Ms. Gars Dolandis is currently a private Performing Arts Coach, who works with singers, dancers, actors, ice skaters and beauty pageant contestants, in the areas of voice (musical theatre, pop), dance (ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and theatre dance), acting (theatre and TV/film), and performance expression.
Mindy is a member of AEA, SAG, AFTRA and AGMA. She is also Vice President of the National Society of Arts and Letters Boca Raton/South Florida Chapter, and on the National Board of NSAL.
In this weekend, the kids will learn vocals & a choreographed routine that will be performed for the parents. During the weekend the kids will also get coaching on vocal technique as well as experience collaborating on a mini - musical! They will get an understanding of where their unique vocal abilities fit within the “cast” as well as identifying their personal strengths! A fantastic opportunity for any child interested in being a “Triple Threat” (singing, dancing & acting!)
HOMEWORK: Must prepare one musical theatre piece/song to present at workshop. Bring your music with you.

Full BIO for Mindy Gars Dolandis
Mindy Gars Dolandis began her professional career at the age of 12 on the Jackie Gleason Christmas Show. Trained by Thomas Armour in Miami, she attended the North Carolina School of the Arts, followed by training at the Harkness Ballet School in New York.
Ms. Gars Dolandis joined the Harkness Ballet Company and toured extensively for four years, dancing all over the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Moving to Venezuela to join the newly formed Ballet Internacional de Caracas, she toured South America and Europe. After returning to the United States, Mindy performed as a guest artist with companies in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Indiana, and spent two years dancing with the Eliot Feld Ballet of New York.
Upon retiring from ballet, she studied voice as well as acting, and pursued a career in musical theatre in venues in New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. Locally, she has also been seen on TV in commercials, and has performed as a choral singer.
