Ages 12-18 welcome - middle & high school students (please call to discuss if your child is under 12)

In this weekend, the kids will learn vocals & a choreographed routine that will be performed for the parents. During the weekend the kids will also get coaching on vocal technique as well as experience collaborating on a mini - musical! They will get an understanding of where their unique vocal abilities fit within the “cast” as well as identifying their personal strengths! A fantastic opportunity for any child interested in being a “Triple Threat” (singing, dancing & acting!)

Teaching for over thirty-five years at schools both locally and in New York, Ms. Gars Dolandis is currently a private Performing Arts Coach, who works with singers, dancers, actors, ice skaters and beauty pageant contestants, in the areas of voice (musical theatre, pop), dance (ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and theatre dance), acting (theatre and TV/film), and performance expression.

Mindy is a member of AEA, SAG, AFTRA and AGMA. She is also Vice President of the National Society of Arts and Letters Boca Raton/South Florida Chapter, and on the National Board of NSAL.

HOMEWORK: All participants must prepare one musical theatre song to present at workshop. Bring the instrumental track on a CD to accompany your piece.

FCCA - PREMIERE, “SECOND COMING” - SEPT. 24
“Second Coming” is Coming to a Theatre Near You! On Monday, September 24th, the Florida Cast & Crew Association (FCCA) is proud to invite the local entertainment industry to the official Cast & Crew Screening of the feature film thriller “Second Coming” (www.secondcomingthemovie.com) directed by Jose Cassella. Jose’s first award winning film “Delivery” was recently picked up by Warner Bros. and is now in wide distribution. A Q. & A. session will follow the 90 minute film where FCCA members and guests will be able to find out how the movie was cast, produced, and how the film will be distributed. Producers will also share insight into several upcoming film projects that are now in development and will be shooting in the near future! This special screening will be held at the brand new Premiere Cinema at Fashion Square Mall, 3201 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL, 32803 which is a very film friendly venue to local independent film makers. There is plenty of free parking and all attendees will get free large drinks and popcorn included as part of the program! The FCCA networking hour starts at 6:30pm in the theatre lobby, where guests will be able to meet cast & crew members. The film starts up at 7:30pm sharp followed by the Q & A, which will wrap up around 9:30pm. FCCA members are admitted for free, guests for $10 and students and members of reciprocal organizations for just $5. Seating is limited, so please arrive prior to 7:30pm to ensure you get a seat!
Additional note: The film has not yet been rated by the MPAA, but producers are warning parents with children that there is some violence, language and adult situations that may not be appropriate for children under 14. PALM BEACH - EXTRAS FOR FILM
The Palm Beach County Film & Television Institute is issuing a call for 10 candidates to be extras as “Tour Participants” in the filming of theJim Ponce Walking Tour. The completed program will be broadcast on various networks globally, as well as sold commercially as a DVD. Extras will receive on-screen credit according to the producer’s determination. Extras will participate in a guided tour of an elegant beach resort facility in Palm Beach County. Extras should dress for a stay at a luxury hotel in Palm Beach, with casual business attire or indoor resort wear appropriate for such a setting. Extras will be required to wear the same attire on all three days of the shoot. Extras will be selected according to the following criteria: Approx. 7, male and female, 45-65, mixed race, fit and healthy in appearance; Approx. 2, male or female, 30-45, white, young professional in appearance; Approx. 2, male or female, 60-80, white, philanthropist or matron in
appearance.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS - TV SHOW, “THE STUDIO PROJECT”
PRESS RELEASE – Open Auditions/Casting Call 8/23/2007
Greg Rike Productions of Altamonte Springs Florida in association with Guitar Center, will be holding auditions in Orlando for their upcoming reality TV show “Working Title: The Studio Project.” We are looking for individuals and students with interests in the following areas; producers, directors, singers, songwriters, bands, audio engineers, writers, camera operators, entertainment marketers, lighting techs, grips and stage hands and photographers.
A complete production staff will be selected from these applicants to produce a weekly television series to be aired on Orlando area cable and PBS.
These are unpaid positions however successful applicants will have their work aired on television throughout Central Florida with the opportunity for National viewing and recognition.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
If you enroll in a class or seminar and need to cancel for any reason prior to 24hrs from the start of the class, you will be given an Actors Info Booth Inc. credit for the full amount which may be used towards any other class in the future (excluding Raymond Forchion workshops and any first-time workshops) . All credits expire 12 months from the original class date.
If you cancel in less than 24hrs from the start of class all credits will be given at the discretion of Actors Info Booth Inc. depending on the reason.
If you do not show up for a class and do not call to cancel, you forfeit your class and credit.
If you have a credit and apply it to a class and do not show up or cancel, you forfeit your credit.
If an instructor has to postpone/change/cancel the workshop date for any reason - there are no refunds, only credits.
Credits are non-transferable.
There will be a $30.00 fee for all returned checks. All future transactions after a returned check must be cash or credit card.
