Workshop - Saturday & Sunday September 28-30, 2007 - $250
10am to 5pm (Friday Seminar included in the weekend!)

Ages 12-18 welcome - middle & high school students (please call to discuss if your child is under 12)

During the weekend the kids will also get coaching on vocal technique as well as experience collaborating on a mini - musical! In this weekend, the kids will learn vocals & a choreographed routine that will be performed for the parents! They will get an understanding of where their unique vocal abilities fit within the “cast” as well as identifying their personal strengths! A fantastic opportunity for any child interested in being a “Triple Threat” (singing, dancing & acting!)

Teaching for over thirty-five years at schools both locally and in New York, Ms. Gars Dolandis is currently a private Performing Arts Coach, who works with singers, dancers, actors, ice skaters and beauty pageant contestants, in the areas of voice (musical theatre, pop), dance (ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and theatre dance), acting (theatre and TV/film), and performance expression.

Mindy is a member of AEA, SAG, AFTRA and AGMA. She is also Vice President of the National Society of Arts and Letters Boca Raton/South Florida Chapter, and on the National Board of NSAL.

HOMEWORK: All participants must prepare one musical theatre song to present at workshop. Bring the instrumental track on a CD to accompany your piece.

SARASOTA FILM SOCIETY
SARASOTA. FL - The Sarasota Film Society has announced the schedule and a call for entries for the 2007-2008 Filmmaker’s Forum. Held at the Burns Court Cinemas located at 506 Burns Lane in Sarasota, the Filmmaker’s Forum provides local and national filmmakers an opportunity to submit their films for exhibition with free screen time and feedback from audiences and other filmmakers. The Filmmaker’s Forum will take place at 8:30 p.m. on October 22, November 19, December 17, January 14 and February 18. Films must be submitted two weeks prior to each screening date and must be less than 45 minutes. There is no application fee, but to be eligible, films must have been completed after January 1, 2007. Completed films as well as works-in-progress may be submitted for exhibition.
The Filmmaker’s Forum also offers an opportunity to local students to
present their films. On March 15 at 10:00 a.m., students from the Ringling School of Art & Design will showcase their films, and on April 5 at 10:00 a.m., local middle and high school students will have an opportunity to show their work on screen at Burns Court Cinemas. The Filmmaker’s Forum will wrap up on April 19 with the Suncoast Film Festival & Award Ceremony. Details for this event will be announced in early spring. Entry forms, submission criteria and additional information are available on the Sarasota Film Society’s website at www.filmsociety.org. PALM BEACH - EXTRAS FOR FILM - SEPT. 26, 2007
The Palm Beach County Film & Television Institute is issuing a call for 10 candidates to be extras as “Tour Participants” in the filming of the Jim Ponce Walking Tour. The completed program will be broadcast on various networks globally, as well as sold commercially as a DVD. Extras will receive on-screen credit according to the producer’s determination. Extras will participate in a guided tour of an elegant beach resort facility in Palm Beach County. Extras should dress for a stay at a luxury hotel in Palm Beach, with casual business attire or indoor resort wear appropriate for such a setting. Extras will be required to wear the same attire on all three days of the shoot. Extras will be selected according to the following criteria:
Approx. 7, male and female, 45-65, mixed race, fit and healthy in appearance;
Approx. 2, male or female, 30-45, white, young professional in appearance;
Approx. 2, male or female, 60-80, white, philanthropist or matron in appearance.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS - TV SHOW, “THE STUDIO PROJECT”
Greg Rike Productions of Altamonte Springs Florida in association with Guitar Center, will be holding auditions in Orlando for their upcoming reality TV show “Working Title: The Studio Project.” We are looking for individuals and students with interests in the following areas; producers, directors, singers, songwriters, bands, audio engineers, writers, camera operators, entertainment marketers, lighting techs, grips and stage hands and photographers.
A complete production staff will be selected from these applicants to produce a weekly television series to be aired on Orlando area cable and PBS.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
If you enroll in a class or seminar and need to cancel for any reason prior to 24hrs from the start of the class, you will be given an Actors Info Booth Inc. credit for the full amount which may be used towards any other class in the future (excluding Raymond Forchion workshops and any first-time workshops) . All credits expire 12 months from the original class date.
If you cancel in less than 24hrs from the start of class all credits will be given at the discretion of Actors Info Booth Inc. depending on the reason.
If you do not show up for a class and do not call to cancel, you forfeit your class and credit.
If you have a credit and apply it to a class and do not show up or cancel, you forfeit your credit.
If an instructor has to postpone/change/cancel the workshop date for any reason - there are no refunds, only credits.
Credits are non-transferable.
There will be a $30.00 fee for all returned checks. All future transactions after a returned check must be cash or credit card.
